Who says you need to travel to Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest?

This September, we brought a little Bavarian tradition to Denver with an afternoon of great friends, German food, locally brewed beer, and a signature fall cocktail—all served from our vintage-inspired Piaggio Ape mobile bar.

And yes, the lederhosen and dirndls made an appearance!

One of the reasons I founded The Allyn Bar Co. was to make entertaining easier while creating experiences that bring people together. Our backyard Oktoberfest was a perfect example of exactly that.

We transformed the space with traditional blue-and-white Bavarian decorations, festive details, and our signature six-tap mobile bar. With the taps flowing and guests arriving in their Oktoberfest best, the afternoon quickly turned into a celebration worth remembering.

The best part? Everything came together with the help of some fantastic local Colorado businesses.

Local Beer, German Food & a Signature Fall Cocktail

No Oktoberfest would be complete without great German-inspired beer, and we partnered with Prost Brewing Company to feature three of their locally brewed favorites:

• Hefeweizen: A refreshing, traditional German-style wheat beer with notes of banana and clove.

• Summer Lager: A bright, crisp lager with a refreshing finish.

• Vienna Lager: A smooth, malty amber lager with plenty of character.

For food, Rhein Haus Denver helped bring the Oktoberfest experience together with German favorites, including bratwurst and all the fixings.

And because we love creating signature cocktails for our events, we introduced the Alpine Smash, a bourbon cocktail featuring apple cider, cinnamon, ginger, and lemon, made with bourbon from our friends at Spirit Hound Distillers.

It was the perfect seasonal addition to our beer lineup and a great reminder that Oktoberfest doesn't have to be all about beer!

A Mobile Bar That Brings the Experience Together

Our Piaggio Ape isn't just a place to grab a drink. It's designed to become part of the celebration.

With six taps, customizable beverage menus, and a compact footprint that works beautifully for backyard gatherings, The Allyn Bar Co. brings a full bar experience without requiring guests to leave the party.

For this event, we served three beers, our Alpine Smash cocktail, and chilled water—all from the same mobile bar.

And because we're a private bartending service, we help our clients plan their beverage selections, quantities, and service details while they provide the alcohol.

It's a flexible approach that makes everything from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations feel a little more personal.

Great Drinks. Great Company. Great Memories.

At the end of the day, Oktoberfest wasn't really about the beer or the cocktails. It was about spending time with friends, sharing a few laughs, and enjoying an afternoon together.

That's what hospitality means to me, and it's the experience I hope to create at every event we serve.
